Busan Tower (Yungdusan Park) and Jalgalchi Fish Market

One day after the beach we decided to go to Yundusan Park and the Jalgalchi Fish Market. Low and behold, Yungdusan Park is the same place Busan Tower is located, which neither Katrina nor myself knew. So, while we didn't go up the tower, we were able to have a decent view from the park. The weather wasn't the greatest but it did cooperate enough that we didn't get rained on. I would recommend going to the park to kill an hour or two, maybe a little longer if you go up the tower, but not much longer.

Then, it was off the largest fish market in Korea - Jalgalchi Fish Market. Since we got there a bit late over half of the stalls were either closed or in the process of cleaning up and things really weren't that lively. Nevertheless, it was my first time at a fish market, especially one that size. It was interesting to see the different fish and see the old ladies skin fish right in front of me. There was even a restaurant area where you could pick your fish and they'd cook it for you. Be sure to walk around as there are some interesting areas as well as a tiny little park on a river behind the market building.

(I made it Mom, I made it)

(Cool Dragon statue)

(Remember the 'Love Locks' at Namsan Tower? Well, this is Busan's response...)

(Yep, sneak photo, but not so sneaky)

(Sculpture in the park behind the market)

(A few boats...)

(Inside the market - rows and rows of vendors)

(A few of the options, as well as fish, king crabs, and lobsters plus many other items for sale)

(There was even a dried fish market on the second floor/ What size do you want your dried fish?)

(Dried something or other. My guess? Stingray or skate minus the wings.)

(Outdoor market)

(If you look in the background here, you can see a few people at tables. Seafood doesn't get much fresher than this.)
