An Adventure in Seoul

I ended up buying another lens for the camera this past weekend.  After a lot of research and a bit of a debate, I ended up going with the sigma 30mm f/1.4.  I ended up getting a 'display' model for a relatively low price.  Spenser went with me since his is my resident camera expert.  Afterwards we went on a bit of an adventure - an island on the Han, saw some fishermen, Spenser was chased by a dog, we ended up kayaking on the Han, and then watched an intense game of little kids playing soccer.  Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures from the soccer game.  However, here are a few of the photos from our adventure

(Testing the camera out - I really like the sharpness it has and the blurriness in the background)

('Famous' Chicken shop we stopped at for a quick snack)

(The side street is filled with shops.  You can get traditional Korean foods - tteokboki, spam fish, blood sausage - as well as fried foods including fried boiled eggs, shrimp, chicken, veggie mix.)

(Mini kimbaps)

(Another little shop)

(Two cultures collide...)

(Garden on the island we stopped on)

(63 Building in the background)

(Bridge shot)

(Guys we met fishing - they gave us come coffee.)

(Another bridge shot with city in the background.  I believe this is the Hangang Daepyo Bridge - the first bridge in Korea.)

(Part of our adventure on the island - I guess we were somewhere we shouldn't have been...)

(On the Han after our kayaking adventure)

(The place had everything - sail boats, kayaks, canoes, everything)

(We took out the green one.  I didn't get any pictures on the Han because I was scared we would tip and the camera would be finished.)

 (A downed sail boat)

(But wait, this is how you get it back up again)

 (Just me)

(The guy windsurfing actually was the one who allowed us to take the kayak out.  At first, they weren't going to let us.  Then we told them we were professional.  They still said it was too windy.  Then we told them we came from Suwon, which we did.  So, they finally let us take one out.  It was only 3,000 won for an hour to rent one, under $3.  We had a nice relaxing time on the Han, rowing away.)
