Mui Ne - An Oasis

With time winding down on our trip, we decided we needed a vacation from our vacation and a chance to relax a little.  So, we picked Mui Ne, a resort/beach area in Vietnam to spend 10 days.  It was a little pricier at $30 a night but well worth it and it gave me a chance to energize before coming back to America.  We actually ended up staying an extra night it was so peaceful and the service at Mui Ne Hills was amazing.  My only complaint was the lack of available umbrellas to rent on the beach.  Besides the beach, we rented a scooter for the day and went off and did some exploring.  Here are a few of the photos from Mui Ne, one of my favorite beaches on the trip, next to the Perhentian Islands.

 (Sunset from our deck)

(For the price, breakfast or lunch was included for both of us.  So, I guess it was about $20 a night.  They also had a deck and a nice pool to swim in if you didn't want to go to the beach.  Mui Ne Hills is the place to stay.)

(Another view from the deck - we could see the ocean)

(This is the entrance up to the rooms)

(Another deck shot at night)

 (Another sunset)

(Me getting ready for the sunset)

(The 'Fairy Walk,' an interesting area filled with intriguing rock formations and a waterfall at the end)

(You walk in the stream or you can walk up above to the left)

(The formations were amazing)

(Luckily, I don't think we saw anyone until we got to the waterfall.  It was a peaceful little walk.)

(Not quite sure what the rock is or how the formations were made)

 (Me at the waterfall)

(Making our way back to the scooter and I'm trying to stay out of the sun)

(A few boats we saw on our way to the white sand dunes)

(Nice little ocean view driving along the road)

(Passed this team on the way)

(White sand dunes in the background - they were huge)

(You could rent 4 wheelers but we decided to take the 20 minute walk to the top instead)

 (Katrina at the top)

(A final shot of the sand dunes - they were huge)

(Next, we went to the red sand dunes)

(We got here at sunset which made for some interesting colors and a great view)

(Once again, that's the ocean in the background.  You could rent sleds but we decided to just hang out and enjoy the sunset, away from the crowd.)

(And there's the crowd)

(Another amazing sunset with fantastic colors)

(On the beach - Mui Ne is known for its wind and kite surfing.  I didn't give it a try but it looked like it could be a lot of fun.)

(A few of the kite surfers)

(A shot of the beautiful beach and the best part, there weren't that many hawkers...)
